About Us

The DuPage Fire Chiefs Association was founded in 1974 when fire chiefs from DuPage County came together in a collaborative effort to address pertinent issues affecting public safety in the county.  This joint effort allowed for communication to flow between fire districts and fire departments and provided a means to network ideas and innovative concepts aimed at improving operations and efficiency.  Establishing this critical communication network became the association’s organizational purpose and mission towards providing the best possible community and customer service, enabling improved and effective input to the governing officers, officials, and public bodies of and within the county, promoting public awareness of fire and life safety programs and working to improve the fire service and member departments.

Today the DuPage Fire Chiefs Association is comprised of 30 member fire department and fire districts within DuPage County and also includes associate members consisting of dozens of local companies, organizations and agencies who support the goals and mission of the association.
